The Energy Square (E²)

Energy efficiency is a hot topic all over the world. Not least within the energy-intensive pulp and paper industry. That’s why The Paper Province now launches a new international centre for energy efficiency: The Energy Square. The centre is the first in the world to focus on products and services for the pulp and paper industry and will be based in Karlstad.

The Energy Square is a facilitator for commercialisation. The mission is to make the development of new products and services that reduces the energy consumption within the global pulp and paper industry more easy. The centre will be a link between universities, research institutes and industry, bringing together knowledge, infrastructure and funds to the projects.
